For the Past 30 years, almost all income gains have been captured by the richest few.  The progress towards prosperity that our mothers and grandfathers experienced has ground to a halt.

I want to increase the Georgia minimum wage to $12 an hour.

The minimum wage hasn’t even kept up with inflation.  The grass roots of both parties (80% of Americans including 58% of registered Republicans) support increasing the minimum wage.   The minimum wage transcends region: rural crop pickers, suburban retail workers and urban service workers are all in the same boat.  If the Republicans refuse to give their own struggling constituents a raise, I’ll embarrass them and Georgians of all races and regions can unite to defeat them.
